Celebrating Three Years of Design in Central Iowa

Jen Haywood, Owner

It has been amazing celebrating three years as a company this week. Where has the time gone? Time has gone by so fast! This milestone means so much to us because our portfolio has grown, and it feels good to have so many completed projects and more underway. A huge thank you to everyone following along, watching as we grow, working with us, and hiring us as your trusted team to handle all your design needs. As we wrap up a week full of celebration, I wanted to share a few of my favorite projects. Enjoy!

Glen Oaks - Luxury Master Bath

This Glen Oaks master bath remodel has it all - heated floors, soaking tub, fully tiled shower, and luxurious Kohler & Delta fixtures. The goal for this bath was to create a spa-like environment, suitable for the homeowner to relax and unwind after a long day of work. Marble-like floors pair well with white shaker-style cabinets and light quartz countertops. All plumbing fixtures and hardware were selected in a chrome finish for a luxurious look and feel.

Norwalk New Construction

This luxury custom home was designed amidst the gorgeous views of the surrounding Echo Valley golf course. Our client's wanted a contemporary home with ultra-modern light fixtures and clean-lined finishes. We balanced grays, blacks, and navy colors throughout their home. For the kitchen, a hexagon backsplash compliments their white and navy cabinets with sleek black hardware. For their master bath and powder room, we introduced gold elements which are paired beautifully with a herringbone tile wall. The lower level wet bar is the perfect spot for entertainment with a built-in countertop beverage serving station.

Ankeny Basement Remodel

This basement project was completed for a family in Ankeny. The homeowners did not initially finish their basement, but after a few years living in their home were ready to add more usable square footage. This project included the addition of an entertainment area, wet bar with full wine storage, two additional guest bedrooms, guest bathroom, and exercise room. The focal point for this project was the tv area which included an electric fireplace, stone accent, and built-in shelving and drawer. Our goal was to complement the main level which is accessed by an open stairway. Choosing similar interior materials like vinyl flooring, paint, and stone was important to ensure the home felt cohesive from floor to floor.

Windsor Heights Kitchen

We started Kelly and Adam’s project in early March (at the start of the US COVID outbreak!) and worked fast to get all space planning, selections, and ordering done and ready for demo and construction. This project included a demo of the existing kitchen, originally built in 1959 which contained a wall dividing the kitchen and dining areas. This dividing wall was removed to open up the space and provide for a 10’ peninsula island (with waterfall countertop!) and seating. Updates included all new cabinetry, hardware, lighting, plumbing fixtures, and hardwood floors tied into the existing flooring. In addition, a small powder room adjacent to the kitchen received a much improved update with new hardwood flooring, vanity, mirror, accessories, and paint.
